Rose Lassi Recipe
Today I am going to share my favourite Lassi Rose Lassi Recipe. Lassi is very popular in north India yoghurt-based drink, during the summer. There are many variations of it and rose lassi is one such variation. we can make a variety of lassi either sweet or salted, fruit-based or flavoured-based. Here share an easy rose flavoured-based sweet lassi with an attractive pink colour.
Lassi tends to improve our immunity system, and It is one of the best options as a coolant for summer. Rose Lassi is a flowery variation of the basic sweet lassi. This lassi variant is super quick to make and looks lovely too. It is another cooling yoghurt-based drink with the flavours of rose petals and rose syrup, that’s why Rose Lassi is a fragrant and refreshing summer drink.
Rose Lassi is a quick and fuss-free, delightful variation of regular lassi. Lassi is a popular Indian yoghurt drink, commonly prepared in the Indian subcontinent and is now popular worldwide. It is easy to prepare with a handful of ingredients and served chilled.
Rose Lassi is one of the easiest beverage recipes. Just add everything to the blender jar and blend it until a smooth and frothy lassi is formed.

Ingredients:
- Yoghurt – The main ingredient for lassi is plain Yoghurt/curd. You can use store-bought or homemade plain yoghurt or Greek-style yoghurt.
- Milk or water – You can Use milk to adjust the consistency of the lassi as per your preference. The quantity is just approximate and flexible.
- Rose syrup – We use the Rooh Afza brand, which is a popular herbal rose syrup.
- Sugar powder- it’s optional
- Rose Petals, Almonds and Pistachios – I love to garnish the frothy top of rose lassi with beautiful rose petals crushed almonds and pistachios.
Optional Ingredients:
- Gulkand ( Rose Petal Jam)
- Rose Water
- Cardamom Powder
- Almond slivers
Method:
Add the yoghurt, rose syrup, water and sugar to the blender or deep bowl.
Blend everything till smooth and till the lassi becomes frothy. You can make the lassi thick or thin by adjusting the amount of water.
Garnish the lassi with a crushed dried rose or fresh Rose petal or slivers of almond or pistachio on top. Serve it, chilled.
Note:
- You can add ice cream or whipped cream to make this more creamy.
- Instead of water, you can also add milk or half-half of water and milk.

Suggestion Notes:
- Cream: You can use a tablespoon of milk cream for a more creamy lassi.
- Rose Syrup: Adjust rose syrup according to the sour level of curd.
- Sugar: the rose syrup is sweet too, you can adjust the sugar according to the level of sweetness you want in the lassi. Adjust the sugar per your requirement.
- Vegan Rose Lassi: You can easily make this recipe vegan by substituting dairy curd with cashew or soy-based curd, coconut etc.
- Garnish ideas: Rose Petals- fresh or dried, Crushed Pistachios, Gulkand etc.
- Beater: Avoid using a blender, and make this lassi using a hand beater if you can.
- Storage Suggestions: We can store Rose Lassi for 2 days in a clean air-tight container in the refrigerator.
- Curd: Always use thick, fresh dahi which should not be sour.

- Mango Lassi – With fresh Mango
- Mint Lassi: With fresh mint leaves, black salt and roasted cumin powder.
- Plain Lassi – with just sugar
- Banana Rose Lassi: Prepared with yoghurt, banana and rose syrup.
- Banana Lassi: Prepared with banana and curd.
- Khoya Lassi: with khoya and yoghurt.
- Cucumber Lassi: cucumber and yoghurt are the main ingredients.
- Beetroot Lassi: Beetroot and yoghurt are the star ingredients.
FAQ Related to Rose Lassi
Yes, You can, but it’s always recommended to use chilled curd or You can refrigerate prepared raita before serving and serve it chilled for the best flavour.
We can make vegan lassi by substituting dairy curd with cashew or soy-based curd, coconut etc.

- 1.5 cups plain yoghurt chilled
- 1/4 cup Rose syrup
- Sugar powder to taste optional
- 1/2 cup water or milk chilled
- 1 tablespoon fresh cream optional
Garnish:
- Rose petals fresh or dry
- Almond and pistachio slivers
