Refreshing snacks made with fresh fruit are a healthier way to create a treat for both kids and adults. Homemade fruit salsa and Watermelon Granita are a few of our favourite refreshing snacks. All of them are made with only a few ingredients including fresh fruit.

Initially, I was going to make a batch of mango salsa. But then I started thinking about the kiwis in my fridge and was reminded of how delicious the quick mango kiwi salsa that I chopped for the tacos was.

You can make fruit salsa and salad with almost any fruit and vegetable. Here are some ideas of fruit salsa combos to try.

Notes

Can I Add Different Fruits to This Salsa?

Of course! You can use any fruits you want, although I personally think softer fruits are the best in this salsa (berries, papaya, stone fruits, etc).

Recipe Notes:

  1. For best results, make this and store in the fridge for a few hours to chill and allow the flavours to marinate together.
  2. If you don’t have mango or kiwi, feel free to sub another fruit into the salsa
  3. This recipe is vegan and gluten-free. You can easily double or triple the recipe depending on your party size.
  4. Your mango may produce different amounts of cups. You can easily adjust the other measurements based on the mangoes though.
  5. Add more jalapenos for added spice. Adjust the amount of salt/lemon juice if needed.
  6. If possible, store in the fridge for 1 hour before serving to allow all the flavours to marinate together.
  7. If you can’t wait, then enjoy right away, this salsa will taste great both ways!
