Summer means mangoes and mangoes mean a lot of delicious desserts. Mango Ice Cream is one of the easy and perfect desserts that you can make with mango when mangoes are in season! Mango ice cream is a delicious and refreshing dessert. It is creamy and full of mango flavour.

It is a sweet and slightly tangy taste depending on the type of mangoes or pulp used. This is irresistible, and no one cant say no to a scoop of this delicacy! This homemade mango ice cream recipe is no egg, no-cook ice cream made without an ice cream maker. It is made with only Five ingredients and can be made from canned mango pulp or fresh mango puree.

What are the main ingredients of Mango Ice cream?

Here’s what you’ll need to make this Mango Ice cream

  1. Mango Pulp:-Mango Ice Cream can be made using fresh mangoes, frozen mangoes, or canned mango pulp.
  2. Whole Milk: -For creamy ice cream, you should always use full-fat milk. Don’t use slim or low-fat milk would not make ice cream.
  3. Condensed milk or whole milk Powder:- It makes the Ice-cream creamy and sweet and teasty.
  4. Heavy whipping cream:- it will make our mango ice cream creamy and is needed to make a custard base for our ice cream.
  5. Sugar(optional):– If your mangoes are sweet enough, you can skip the sugar or reduce the quantity of the same. 

How to make Mango Ice cream?

Method:

  • Put the mango pulp into a blender jar.
  • Add milk, cream, condensed milk and sugar.
  • Blend all the ingredients for 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour the mixture into a shallow container.

  • Cover with an aluminium foil and freeze for 3-4 hours or till semi-set.

  • Pour the semi-set mixture into a mixer or blender and blend until smooth.
  • Transfer the mixture back into the same container.
  • Cover with an aluminium foil and freeze until set.

  • Scoop out into a bowl and serve.

I have not added any artificial colour to the ice cream. The colour difference between the photos is because of the lighting.

You can also use canned mango puree because it’s so delicious. But if fresh mangoes are available, use them.

To make this frozen treat dairy-free, use unsweetened coconut cream.

You can add some mango pieces or nuts like pistachios, almonds or chocolate chips into the ice cream before freezing.:

Flavour:  you can flavour the mango ice cream with cardamom powder, vanilla extract or saffron.

With Nuts: You can add crushed nuts like pistachios, toasted almonds etc to your Ice Cream for Nutty Mango Ice Cream.
