Banana Lassi is a tasty, refreshing yoghurt-based blended drink.For this lassi, blend up bananas with yoghurt, sugar (optional) and ice in this recipe for a cold smoothie that’s ideal for the hot summer. It’s a great way to use bananas that are starting to ripen too fast when you don’t want to make a banana milkshake. It is flavoured with cardamom powder. You can also try cinnamon powder and nutmeg. So quick and easy to prepare. Always use fresh thick curd for making lassi. The taste of the lassi purely depends on the quality of the curd used. Here’s what you’ll need to make this Banana Lassi: Banana(Fresh or Frozen): Frozen bananas improve the thickness and texture of your smoothie. Just slice a big banana and put it on a plate in the freezer for about 2 hours, or do it before you go to bed, then they are perfect for your next morning Lassi. Plain Yogurt: Make sure you are using fresh and thick curd. The beverage won’t taste good if the Dahi is sour. Swap it with plant-based yoghurt if you are vegan. Sweetener: Add any of the sweeteners of your choice like honey, maple syrup, date syrup etc Flavour: Cardamom Powder or Cinnamon Powder Chilled milk or Water(optional): Add more or less to adjust the consistency. You can replace it with water or plant-based milk. Topping: grated chocolate, choco chips or nuts etc. as per taste. Method: Put the sliced banana, curd, sweetener and cardamom Powder in the blender and blend until creamy, smooth and foamy. Add some ice cubes while grinding. Pour into glass garnish with grated chocolate and serve immediately. Note: You can adjust the consistency of your Lassi by adding more milk or water to make it thinner or more bananas to make it thicker. Chill it in the refrigerator for an hour or two and serve it chilled.
