👩🍳How to Make Rajgira Halwa(Sheera) Step-by-Step with Photos
- Heat a cup of ghee in a pan over medium flame.
- Once the ghee is hot, add a cup of Rajgira flour to the pan and mix it well. Make sure there are no lumps
- Roast the atta until it turns golden brown and a nutty aroma starts (10-12 minutes).
- Add dried grated coconut, nuts and Raisins.
Keep stirring frequently while roasting to avoid the atta burning at the bottom.
- Now add 500ml of warm milk to the pan.
- Cook until all the milk is absorbed.
- Add ½ cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
- Cook until halwa turns dark brown and the ghee separates from the sides.

- 1 cup ghee
- 1 cup – Rajgira Atta Amaranth Flour
- 1/4 cup Dried Grated Coconut- optional
- 1/4 cup Nuts as per taste-(optional)
- 2 tbsp Raisins optional
- 500 ml Milk warm
- 1/2 cup Sugar or as per taste
- 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder
- 2 tsp Almond slivers for garnish
Instructions
- Heat a cup of ghee in a pan over medium flame.
- Once the ghee is hot, add a cup of Rajgira flour to the pan and mix it well. Make sure there are no lumps.
- Roast the atta until it turns golden brown and a nutty aroma starts (10-12 minutes).
- Add dried grated coconut, nuts and raisins as per liking.
- Keep stirring frequently while roasting to avoid the atta burning at the bottom.
- Once the flour is golden brown, add 500ml of warm milk to the pan and cook until all the milk is soaked by the flour (1-2 minutes).
- Add ½ cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder and cook until halwa turns dark brown and the ghee separates from the sides (3-4 minutes).
- Keep stirring continuously while cooking.
- Garnish with almonds slivers.
- Serve hot or at room temperature.
