This pomegranate banana smoothie is so delicious and refreshing! Plus, it’s healthy. Pomegranates are good for us. They’re rich in antioxidants and vitamin C.The combination of the two fruits results in a refreshing and delightful smoothie to be consumed during a hot summer day or a relaxing winter night at home.
In this smoothie, the prominent flavour is refreshing pomegranate juice from the arils. The banana provides a nice texture and calories. I didn’t even use any flavoured extract, because this smoothie is delicious without it.
This pomegranate banana smoothie is a creamy, tasty and healthy beverage, prepared with pomegranate, banana and yoghurt. you can add any kind of sweetener to balance out the tartness of the mixture.
Key Ingredients for a healthy smoothie:
Plain yoghurt:
It adds protein to the smoothie recipe and makes it thicker too. You can also use flavoured yoghurt, according to your own choice.
Sweetener: Sugar, Jaggery Honey, Maple Syrup or any of them can be used as per taste.
Milk: You can use dairy or plant milk as per your taste and requirement.
Fresh or frozen bananas: you can select any one of these as per requirement and taste
Pomegranate: You can use Fresh Pomegranate or frozen Pomegranate as per your choice.
Topping: You can use any topping of your choice for the recipe. You can use choco chips or other fresh fruits like berries, thinly chopped nuts, pomegranate arils, or banana slices etc.
How to make a pomegranate and banana smoothie:
Simply combine all of the ingredients in a blender and purée until smooth. Depending on the type of blender you have and how powerful it is, you may need to stop and stir every once in a while to help it along. That’s all there is to it. Pour into glasses and enjoy!

- 2 banana fresh or frozen choppedin pieces
- 1 cup yogurt plain
- 3/4 cup pomegranate juice seeds can be included, if you choose
- ½ cup pomegranate arils
- sweeatner as per choice
- 1 tsp pomegranate arils for garnish
Instructions
- Place all the ingredients(yoghurt, pomegranate arils, banana, sweatner and pomegrenate juice) into a blender.
- Blend until smooth and fomey.
- Garnish and serve immediately.
