Pear Pomegranate Smoothie Recipe:

Today I am going to share Pear Pomegranate Smoothie Recipe. This is one of my kid’s favourites smoothie. This Pear-Pomegranate smoothie is a healthy, quick, easy-to-make, creamy, and refreshing smoothie. This yummy Pear-Pomegranate smoothie contains the perfect blend of antioxidants and vitamins to help get the day started. This pomegranate smoothie is so beautiful, fruity and creamy. You’ll add it to your smoothie rotation stat!

Health Benefits of Pear Pomegranate Smoothie:

  • Pear: pears are high in fibre, low in calories and a good source of Vitamin K and C, copper, and potassium. Potassium: Potassium is important for your body’s cells, organs and tissues to function properly. They are anti-inflammatory, have been shown to improve heart health and may help with weight loss. Pears are high in fibre and have a low glycemic index. Pears prevent a spike in blood sugar and help to control blood glucose levels.
  • Pomegranate Seeds- Pomegranate Seeds are rich in fibre, antioxidants, and fatty acids that may benefit your health. They are also a good source of vitamin E and magnesium. Pomegranate juice is well-known for its high antioxidant content, with a more potent antioxidant effect than green tea. Those powerful antioxidants can help reduce inflammation and protect our bodies from disease.

What are the main ingredients of the Pear Pomegranate Smoothie?

Here’s what you’ll need to make this Apple Pomegranate Smoothie:

  • Pomegranate: You can use fresh juice or whole pomegranate arils in a smoothie.

You can use Fresh Pomegranate or frozen Pomegranate as per your choice.

  • Pear: Always use a ripe and unpeeled pear because most of the fibre and antioxidants are in the skin, so try to leave the skin on your pears to get the most out of the fruit!
  • Ice: This completes the frothy texture.
  • Greek yoghurt: Greek yoghurt adds loads of protein. You can use the vegan variations below as
  • Milk: I used almond milk but any kind will work
  • Sweetener: We like just a hint of sweetener for this one to brighten the flavour! Feel free to substitute Maple syrup, sugar, honey or agave syrup as your sweetener of choice.

How to make Pear Pomegranate Smoothie?

Blend: Combine all the ingredients and mint in a high-powered blender and blend until smooth.
Serve: Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Suggestions:

  • Add one tablespoon of rolled oat or millet flakes if gluten-free for a thick and more fulfilling smoothie.
    recommend adding
  • If you don’t have frozen pear, you can use unfrozen pear. Add 2-3 more ice cubes to compensate! Otherwise, the smoothie will be a little less creamy and thick.

Storage: This Pear Pomegranate Smoothie is not something you can prepare a long time ahead. If you let it rest, the various ingredients will split, with the heavier bits falling to the bottom and the water from the milk and fruits floating to the top. You can stir it again, but it won’t taste the same.
So I recommend not making this more than 10 minutes before enjoying it.

Vegan: If you are vegan, you can replace dairy with almond and coconut.

Variations:

Protein powder: Make it protein-rich by adding a scoop of your favourite protein powder.

Frozen bananas: They add some extra sweetness as well as nutrients. I highly recommend using frozen instead of fresh bananas because it makes the smoothie creamy. Also, make sure to use ripe.

Seeds: Such as chia seeds or flax seeds make great smoothie add-ins.
