Today I am going to share the Coffee Banana Smoothie recipe one of my favourite smoothie, The combination of coffee, banana, milk and cocoa is just sinfully delicious with chia. I love the beautiful foam that forms on the top—it is so tasty and refreshing! This Creamy and energizing Coffee Smoothie is full of chocolate and coffee flavours.

What are the main ingredients of the Coffee Banana smoothie?
Here’s what you’ll need to make this Coffee Banana Smoothie:
- Frozen banana – Frozen bananas improve the thickness and texture of your smoothie. Just slice a big banana and put it on a plate in the freezer for about 2 hours, or do it before you go to bed, Then they are perfect for your next morning smoothie.
- Milk: Now we need to add milk here for that extra nutrition. I am using Full-fat milk but feel free to use dairy-free or plant-based milk like almond milk, oat milk or soy milk.
- *Make sure to use unsweetened almond milk. If you use sweetened milk, omit the maple syrup, the smoothie may be too sweet.
- Sweeteners: Add any of the sweeteners of your choice like honey, maple syrup, date syrup etc.
- Nut Butter (Optional): For a punch of protein and healthy fats in the smoothie, we can add a spoonful of your favourite nut butter, like almond or peanut butter. Almond or Peanut butter Any of them can be used.
- Chia seeds: To boost healthy fats and fibre, add. a tablespoon of chia seeds to the smoothie.
- Cocoa powder and cinnamon: For flavour.
- Coffee: The basic version of this coffee smoothie is made with espresso, you can use instant coffee powder. You can also use caffeine-free coffee if you like the coffee flavour but can’t drink coffee for some reason.
- OR
- Coffee ice cubes: You’ll need to brew some regular or strong coffee, pour it into the ice cube tray, and freeze it for 2 hours or overnight.
- Topping: Chia seeds, choco chips or nuts as per taste.
How To Make This Coffee Smoothie
- Make coffee as usual, then chill it in the fridge for a few hours until cold. You can also make a cold brew and use it here!
- Measure out all the ingredients and add them into a blender container. You will need one banana, 3/4 cup milk, sweetener as per taste, one teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa and one teaspoon of peanut butter.
- Mix all the ingredients in a blender until creamy and smooth.
- You can adjust the consistency of your smoothie by adding more milk to make it thinner or more banana/almond butter to make it thicker.

You can use fresh bananas, but for a smooth and creamy smoothie, it is recommended to use frozen.
We can store any leftovers in a jar with a lid. It will last for 24 hours, but I recommend drinking it immediately after making it.

- 1 banana fresh or frozen
- 1/4 cup black coffee chilled espresso or instant coffee
- 2 tablespoon sweetener maple syru or any
- 2 tablespoon Chia seeds socked or raw as per choice
- 3/4 cup milk you can use plant-based milk, almond milk is best
optional but recommended:
- 1 teaspoon peanut butter or almond butter
- 2 teaspoon cocoa powder
Instructions
Prepration:
- Soak the chia seeds in a ½ cup of water for 15-20 minutes.
- Make coffee as you usually would, then chill it in the fridge for a few hours until cold. You can also make a cold brew and use it here!
Method:
- Place all ingredients in a blender and blend it all up until smooth and creamy.
- Add the soaked chia seeds into the glass.
- Pour the smoothie into a glass and serve chilled.
