How To Make a Perfect Peanut Chutney Recipe
- I pan-roast the peanuts on medium heat until golden brown. Let them cool.
- Heat 1 tsp of oil in a pan and add the following ingredients:
- 3-4 dry red chillies
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1-inch ginger piece
- 6-8 garlic cloves
- Saute them for 2-3 minutes over medium flame.
- Now add 1 chopped onion and saute it until golden brown, switch off the flame and keep them aside to cool down.
- Add roasted spice mix, roasted peanuts with salt and 1 tsp tamarind pulp into the blender jar.
- Add a little water and blend until smooth. Adjust water for desired consistency.
Prepare the Tempering (Optional): Heat oil in a small pan. Add urad dal, and chana dal and saute over low flame until turns golden in colour.
Add mustard seeds and allow them to crackle then add red chilli and curry leaves and saute them for a few seconds then pour the tempering over the chutney.
Serve: Transfer the chutney to a bowl and serve fresh with your favourite dishes.
