Add 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp oil and soaked rice and cook for 8 minutes.
After 8 minutes strain the rice and pore cold water and keep them aside.

Heat 1 2 tsp ghee or oil in a separate pan over medium heat. Add 1 bay leaf, 2 cloves, 2 green cardamom, 1″ cinnamon stick and 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) and let them sizzle and release their aroma for 30 seconds. Be careful not to burn them.

  • Lower the heat, cover the pan with a lid, and cook for about 5 minutes.
