🌿 Ingredient Notes for Instant Thandai Masala and Drink Recipe
Nuts – I have used almonds, cashew nuts and pistachios. You can use wall nuts too.
Spices – Green cardamom, nutmeg and cinnamon add a beautiful flavour, whereas black peppercorns give a spicy kick to thandai.
Seeds – You will need melon, white poppy (khus khus), and fennel seeds (saunf). These seeds are readily available at Indian grocery stores. If poppy seeds are unavailable where you live, you can skip adding them to the recipe.
Saffron – Saffron strands add richness and also a hint of yellow colour. It is optional, though.
Dry Rose Petals – Rose petals are optional, but I love them because they add aroma and flavour to the thandai.
