How To Make Hyderabadi Badam Ka Harira
Prepare the Almond Paste:
- Soak almonds in warm water for 4-5 hours or overnight.
- Peel the almonds and grind them into a smooth paste using little water or milk.
Cook the Wheat Flour &Almond Paste:
- Add wheat flour and roast on low heat, until giving a nice aroma and becomes light brown.

- Add the almond paste and roast on low heat to a nice golden colour. Then add half a cup of water and stir continuously to combine.
Cook the Almond Paste:
- Now add milk and saffron and then simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Add cardamom powder, and nutmeg and let it cook. keep stirring it else it may stick to the bottom,
- Simmer the Harira for another 5-7 minutes, ensuring all ingredients are well combined.
- Now add sugar or jaggery powder and remove from the flame.
Serve:
Serve hot, garnished with sliced almonds, saffron strands, or a pinch of nutmeg.

- 500 ml Full-fat milk
- Pinch of Saffron strands
- 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
- Sugar or jaggery to taste
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg powder

Instructions

- Now add wheat flour and roast on low heat till it start giving a nice aroma and becomes light brown(addition of wheat flour is optional but it gives a nice flavour and thickness to the harira)

- Now add milk and saffron and let it come to a boil and then simmer for 5-8 minutes.
- Now add cardamom powder and nutmeg powder.
- Add sugar and let it cook for 2 minutes.keep stirring it else it may stick to the bottom.
- Remove from the flame.
- Garnish with Almond and Pistachio slivers and pinch of saffron and serve piping hot at breakfast or dinner.
