Today we will learn an Indian-style Curd Sandwich recipe with step-wise pictures. This Curd Sandwich Is kid-friendly, quick and easy to make, rich and creamy without any mayonnaise.

🌿Ingredients for Dahi (Hung Curd)Sandwich
Bread – I have used White Milk Bread to make this Sandwich, but you can use any bread of your choice such as Brown Bread, Whole Wheat Bread, Multigrain Bread Bread etc.
Vegetables – Fresh Carrots, Onions and Bell peppers are the vegetables added to this sandwich.
Spices – Red chilli flakes, oregano, black pepper powder and salt.
Butter – Butter is required to toast the sandwich. You can use ghee or olive oil too.
Hung Curd – You need thick curd for this sandwich so you can either use homemade hung curd or use store-bought Greek yoghurt.

If the hung curd is too thick, you can adjust the consistency by adding a small amount of the drained whey back into it until you achieve the desired thickness.
We can use Hung curd in various dishes such as dips, dressings, marinades, sandwiches, parfaits, srikhand and desserts. It’s versatile we can flavour it in numerous ways.
While both are strained yoghurts, Greek yoghurt is often made by straining regular yoghurt, while hung curd is typically made by hanging or draining the whey from the yoghurt.

Preparation for hung curd stuffing:
- Take hung curd in a deep bowl and Mash it until smooth and creamy.
- Add salt to taste, Chilli Flakes, Pepper Powder, Mix Herbs and Mix Well.
- Add onion, carrot and Capsicum into the curd and Mix everything well until well combined.
- Our curd Stuffing is ready.
Method: 1
- Take one slice of bread and apply the curd mixture generously on top. Cover it with another slice over it.
- Cut the sandwich into the desired shape like a triangle, half, square, circle etc.
- Hung curd sandwich is ready to serve.
Method: 2
- Spread some butter or ghee over a prepared sandwich and toast one side of the bread by pressing gently on a low flame.
- Then, Flip the sandwich and roast it until light brown on low to medium heat.
- Cut it into half and serve with tomato ketchup or any other dip of your choice.
- Serve immediately, as this sandwich will get soggy with time.

- 1/4 teaspoon origano
- 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper Powder
- 2 tablespoon Butter
- Salt to taste
