Golden Milk Recipe in 5 Minutes | Powerful Haldi Doodh (Turmeric Latte)

Golden Milk, also known as Haldi Doodh in India or Turmeric Latte in the West, is a traditional Ayurvedic drink made by warming milk with turmeric and other spices like black pepper, ginger, and cinnamon.

It is renowned for its healing properties, especially for boosting immunity, reducing inflammation, aiding digestion, and promoting better sleep. The active compound in turmeric, curcumin, has powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects—especially when combined with black pepper, which enhances its absorption.

This soothing, golden-hued drink is often consumed as a bedtime tonic or during seasonal changes to ward off colds, coughs, and fatigue. It can be made with dairy or plant-based milk for a vegan version and naturally sweetened with honey, jaggery, or maple syrup.

Golden Milk isn’t just healthy—it’s comforting, aromatic, and a delicious way to wind down at the end of the day.

I prepared it with turmeric powder, but you can also use fresh turmeric. This drink is filled with the goodness of turmeric, an Ayurvedic remedy renowned for its anti-inflammatory properties.

Turmeric Latte boasts many health benefits, including improving immunity, supporting liver function, aiding in the treatment of colds and coughs, supporting digestion, purifying the blood, and assisting in the treatment of autoimmune illnesses.
