Mango Raita Recipe:
Today I am going to share a post on the Mango Raita recipe or Aam ka raita. I made this raita a few weeks back but forgot to share it. This raita can be prepared by busy working women, students, and bachelors. Aam ka raita is refreshing, cool and tasty, a perfect accompaniment to your Indian meal. This raita goes equally well with rotis as well as rice dishes., made with ripe mango, fresh yoghurt or dahi and tempered with Indian spices.
Mango Raita is one of my kid’s favourite recipes. You can enjoy it as a dessert or as a side dish along with a meal. Mangoes are in season as the Summer has already arrived. Here is how to make it.

What is Raita?
Raita is a mixture of whisked yoghurt and fruit or vegetable with some spices such as roasted cumin powder, salt, red chilli powder, black salt etc. and Garnish with green coriander or mint leaves.
What are the main ingredients of the Mango Raita?
Here’s what you’ll need to make this Mango Raita:
- Fresh curd: You can use regular dairy curd/yoghurt or plant-based curd as required.
- Mango puree: You can use Fresh mango or frozen mango pulp as per your choice.
- Mango Cubed: Always pick any sweet, non-fibrous varieties of mango for this raita.
- Sweetener: You can use powdered sugar its quantity depends on the sweetness of the mango.
- Salt: you can use any salt like sea salt, rock salt etc.
- Cumin powder: Always use Roasted cumin powder for good taste and aroma.
- Mint: Always use fresh Mint leaves
- Black salt: as per your taste.
How to make Mango Mango Raita?
Method:
- Mix the mango pulp and thick yoghurt altogether, Whisk them well till the yoghurt is smooth and creamy.
- Now, add roasted cumin powder, salt, black salt and sugar and mix them well.
- Then, add chopped fresh mangoes cubes into the curds/yoghurt and mix.
- Finally, Garnish it with mint leaves and Chill the raita before serving.

Serving Suggestions:
- You can adjust the thickness by adding more milk or yoghurt according to your taste.
- You can adjust sweetness according to your taste in this recipe.
- You can add some chopped green chilli for a spicy punch.
Suggestion Notes:
- You can use fresh or frozen mango puree to make this raita.
- Always pick any sweet, non-fibrous varieties of mango for this raita. Always use chilled and plain (not sour) yoghurt. It tastes best when served chilled.
- Always use fresh and thick curd. It should not be sour.
- Other than these, honey is used to make it sweet. Instead, you can use sugar to taste.

- 1.5 cup fresh curd
- 1 cup Mango puree
- 1 cup Mango Cubed
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon Roasted cumin powder
- 5-6 Mint leaves Chopped
- black salt to taste

- Garnish it with mint leaves and serve.
- Chill the raita before serving.
Notes
Adjust the amount of water to desired consistency. You may want to use more or less water depending on how thick your yoghurt is.
