Mewa ki Kheer Recipe - Dry fruits Kheer

Mewa Ki Kheer is a rich and creamy Indian dessert made with milk, sugar, and a variety of dry fruits like almonds, cashews, and raisins. Ingredients

  • 1/2 liter Full Fat Milk
  • 1 cup- Makhane Lotus seeds, Chopped
  • 2 tbsp- Cashew Nuts chopped
  • 2 tbsp- Raisins
  • 2 tbsp- Almond - chopped
  • 1 tbsp- Chironji charoli
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 2 tbsp- dry dates deseeded and chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
  • pinch of saffron
  • 2 tbsp pista slivers
  • 2 tbsp dry grated coconut

Instructions

  • In a heavy bottom over medium heat boil the milk and saffron.
  • Milk starts to boil add all the dry fruits and cardamom powder to the milk stir and mix well.
  • Cook the kheer on low flame until the kheer thickens to your desired consistency while stirring at regular intervals.
  • Add sugar to the kheer and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes. The kheer is ready now. Turn off the burner.
  • You can test it by letting the kheer fall from the stirring spoon. Dry fruits and milk should fall together.
  • Dry fruits ki kheer is ready to serve garnished with pista and served hot or chilled as per taste.
