Curry N Dal: Curry, this term is normally defined to dishes prepared in gravy. Curries may be both ‘dry’ or ‘wet’.
Dry curries: They are prepared with very little water which is allowed to dry, leaving the other ingredients covered with the spice mix.
Wet curries: They include significant amounts of gravy based on yoghurt, cream tomato purée etc.
The word dal is very common in India, used for pulses, especially for several soups prepared from these pulses.
