South Indian Lemon Rice Recipe
Lemon Rice is a quick and easy to make dish. Lemon rice is one of the most common dishes in South India. It's usually eaten alone or with raita, yoghurt, chutney.

1.5 cup rice boiled 1 tablespoon oil/ghee 1-2 dry red chill 2 teaspoon Split Bengal gram chana dal 2 teaspoon black gram urad dal 1 teaspoon mustard seeds rai 1 tablespoon peanuts Mongphali dana 1 teaspoon chopped ginger 1 teaspoon chopped green chilli 10-12 curry leaf 1/4 teaspoon Asafetida Hing 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder haldi salt to taste 1-2 tablespoon lemon juice
Heat the oil in a wok over medium flame.
Now add red chilli, urad dal, chana dal, peanuts and mustard sedds and sauté till the dal turns golden brown in colour.
Add green chilli, ginger, curry leaves hing and turmeric powder and continue to sauté for a minute.
Add cooked rice and salt, turmeric and mix them well.
Finally, add lemon juice and mix well. cook for 1-2 minute.
Lemon Rice is ready to serve.
Serve with yoghurt and salad.
