Today I am going to share a post on How to make mint Lassi(pudina lassi). Lassi is a traditional is a healthy and refreshing yoghurt-based drink that soothes our digestive system. From India prepared in homes and sold in street stalls.

The most basic ones are the sweet lassi with sugar and ground cardamom. Salty lassi with cumin and salt. Mint Lassi is a variation of this simple plain salted lassi, in which mint gives it a tangy and refreshing taste.

 Lassi is a very popular drink throughout India, especially during summer. 

Let’s learn how to make quick and easy pudina lassi, for this no cooking required just add the ingredients and churn it up.

Blend all the ingredients yoghurt, chopped mint leaves, black salt, cumin powder, and ice altogether in a blender. Blend until smooth. Your pudina lassi is ready to serve.

I prefer my lassi to be of a thick pouring consistency, but more water can be added and adjusted according to one’s liking.

Notes:
  • You can adjust the consistency of your drink according to your taste just by adding little milk or water.
  • Use yoghurt which is thick but not too sour in this recipe.
  • If you like a spiced drink, you can add 1 green chilli while blending.
  • You can add ice cubes while serving.
  • You can add chaat masala for more taste.
  • Use full-fat milk to male thick, creamy lassi.

Equipment

  • blender

Materials

  • 1 .5 cup yogurt Dahi, curd
  • 1 hand full of mint leaves mint leaves chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt as per taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black salt optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder roasted ,Bhuna jeera
  • 1/2 cup of ice cubes optional
  • Few mint leaves for garnishing

Instructions

  • Blend mint leaves with 1/4 cup of yoghurt to make a paste.
  • Add yoghurt, salt, black salt, cumin powder and little water(optional).
  • Blend just enough to make the drink smooth.
  • Pour it over ice cubes and garnish with roasted cumin seed powder and mint leaves.
