Ingredients
  • 1 Tablespoon ghee or unsalted butter
  • ½ cup broken wheat (Dalia)
  • 500 ml milk
  • Sugar or brown jaggery (Gur) to taste
  • ¼ Cup Dry Fruits as per your choice (optional)
  • ½ Cup water
  • Pinch Saffron (optional)
Instructions
  1. Over a medium flame, in a heavy bottom broad pan, heats the ghee.
  2. Now add the dalia/ broken wheat to the heated ghee, and fry it.
  3. * Fry until golden brown.
  4. Add water and milk to roasted Dalai and mix it well.
  5. Cook on medium flame for 5 to 8 minutes.
  6. Add saffron to this mixture and mix well, cook for 2-4 minutes on medium flame.
  7. Now add sugar and chopped dried fruits and mix well.
  8. *It should be creamy.
  9. Garnish it with chopped dry fruits and serve it.
