Besan Ka Halwa is a popular Indian sweet dish, especially during festivals. Besan ka halwa is mainly prepared from these four ingredients chickpea flour, ghee, milk, and sugar.

Level of cooking: Medium
- 1 cup chickpea flour /besan
- ½ cup Ghee
- ½ cup Sugar or to taste
- 1/4 cup dry nuts coarsely grounded
- 1/2 cup water
- 1.5 cup milk
- ¼ teaspoon cardamom powder
Preparation:
- Boil the water and milk in a separate pan.
- Keep aside.
Heat ghee in a pan; add chickpea flour and sauté over low heat, stirring continuously, for 15-20 minutes over low heat.
- Cook till you get a roasted aroma.
- Add sugar and keep stirring till it melts.
Add raisins, grounded dry nuts and mix well.
- Add the boiling water and stir and cook till the water gets absorbed.
- Add warm milk and cardamom powder and mix well.
- Cook the mixture till it starts leaving the sides of the pan.
- Garnished with nuts and serve hot.
